Christmas Open House Fundraiser

​

Located in Dansville, MI, CHUM provides year-round services to those with and without disabilities, of all ages.  We specialize in therapeutic riding and hippotherapy with our occupational therapist.  We serve nearly 150 riders per week, with faith, love, and hope and the amazing benefits of equine assisted activities and therapies, from 14 months to seniors, throughout our communities, lives are changed.

 

Each year the program relies on the fund raising events to help subsidize the costs of the program so the families who need these services do not bear the burden of the 'true costs' of running the program.  Our events include: 

  • First Saturday in March the 'Rise Up for Spring: CHUM's Night Out' ticketed dinner and night of entertainment with silent and live auctions, games and prizes, music and amazing buffet dinner!

  • Saturday of Memorial weekend is our in house Memorial Horse Show where all who ride at CHUM can come play!

  • June is our Open Dressage Show at the fairgrounds, a dressage schooling show open to all.

  • July is our Open Horse Show at the fairgrounds, an all around horse show open to all.

  • November is our CHUM Derby Month, our online 'race' to raise funds for CHUM.

  • December is our Christmas Open House, and this is our finale event to help CHUM continue to serve the communities around us!

 

With budgets of approximately $36,000 just for the hay for the horses you can see why these events are so very very important to our ability to not just survive today but thrive for those who need us in the tomorrows to come!

JOIN US DECEMBER 2 FOR THIS ALL DAY DROP IN EVENT!
From 10am to 6pm we will offer: 

  • Silent auction and Christmas store

  • Games and prizes

  • Christmas photos with the horses

  • Christmas goodies

  • The final 'run' of the CHUM Derby will be 'crossing the finish line' that evening!

  • and maybe some new surprises!

Yes, all activities have some nominal cost to help make this fundraiser extra successful. 

We are in need of:

  • Auction items and prizes OR funds that will be used to purchase what is needed for the event

  • Christmas goodies

  • Volunteers to help set up

  • Volunteers to help through the day

  • Volunteers to help tear down after the event

 

ALL DONATIONS CAN BE DROPPED OFF TO CHUM or may be picked up by our volunteers!!
